MEET THE BAND
We have all been playing and recording music for years, but just recently joined forces, forming our band Dammit Janet. We play in the Williamsburg, Virginia area.
VINNY
A retired Marine and Bank of America employee, Vinny began playing bass at 17 years old and played percussion before that. He played in a few bands over the years and then took a break for a couple of decades. He took it up again when he discovered that he and Rob had retired in the same geographic vicinity–they played in a band together back in 1979-1980 when both were in the Marine Corps. Vinny plays rock/blues spanning anywhere from the 60’s to current day. He is allowed one mistake per musical session but rarely uses his allotment…
MARK AUGUSTINE
Mark has performed blues and rock with a variety of bands around the country. His keyboard work appeared on the album “Evil Dreams” by Hampton Roads jam band Prometheus Clay, which was featured on Paul Shagrue’s NPR radio program “Out of the Box.” Mark’s third album of original blues-rock material, “One Day This’ll All Make Sense,” is scheduled for release in fall 2024. Check out his YouTube Channel.
ROB MONTGOMERY
A life-long guitar player, Rob has mostly played solo acoustic and acoustic blues throughout the years. His musical interests are somewhat eclectic and span a variety of instruments to include guitar, mandolin, the Australian digeridoo, and the Highland bagpipes. He can be found on Sound Cloud under RamDam and has an album of original music available on Bandcamp entitled “Love for Dian” dedicated to his wife when she won her bout against cancer.
KEN NEAL
Kenneth Neal began drumming at the age of 14 and played in several bands throughout high school. He drummed for Ron Rothweiler & Other Big Dogs on the Song for Richmond contest held at the Flood Zone and presented by XL 102 radio. The song was “Memories of Richmond.” Ken drummed for Vox Humana on the album "Say It," and drummed for Richmond-based band’s Group Therapy, Silver Pocket a small power trio and for Jack Ruby and Deep Six.
